Kaski landslide victims left in the lurch

Pokhara  is the most important tourist area.There are many people will come from the world.The most incomeing sources is  tourist for pokhara's  people.
As the sun begins to set, Yam Kumari BK and her family of five from Thumki VDC-7 in Kaski begin wandering about the village in search of shelter. This has been the daily routine for the BK family since Monday, when landslide buried her neighbour’s house claiming six lives. The landslide has also put Yam Kumari’s house in danger. It could collapse anytime. Yam Kumari’s family is not the only one to suffer. Four other families have also vacated their houses after Monday’s landslide, while 12 others are spending nights at their friends’ places.
“One landslide has already claimed six lives, while putting many more at risk,” VDC Secretary Durga Raj Subedi said. “Since the rain has not stopped, the danger of landslide is still there.” According to Subedi, at least 20 other houses are also at risk.
Families displaced by the landslide have not received any relief from authorities concerned so far. The family of Chandra Bahadur Pariyar, who lost six members, in the disaster is also yet to get some.
After Monday’s disaster, Nepal Red Cross Society provided clothes and monetary assistance of Rs 5,000 to the surviving.
